Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized higher learning institution in a business-related field, including:
- Marketing Management
- Accounting / Accounting & Finance
- Management / Business Administration
- Economics
- Information Technology (IT) or equivalent technical-business blends.
Experience & Competencies:
- Minimum of 6 to 7 years of progressive, relevant experience in the banking sector.
- Mandatory Requirement: At least 1 year of dedicated service in an active supervisory, team leader, or senior customer service management role.
- Deep operational understanding of retail banking segments, credit processes, and customer acquisition strategies.
- For Interest-Free Banking slots: Practical knowledge of Sharia financial principles, mudarabah/murabahah compliance modes, and IFB risk management is heavily valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch Growth Strategy: Lead local market segment studies to attract, deepen, and manage financial relationships with Retail and MSME clients.
- Asset & Liability Management: Proactively drive targeted branch deposit mobilization efforts and oversee asset financing lines to maximize local profitability.
- Compliance & Risk Control: Ensure all daily transaction entries, credit approvals, and branch workflows comply fully with Dashen Bank’s standard operating procedures and National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) regulatory guidelines.
- Team Supervision: Mentor, guide, and evaluate branch performance metrics while facilitating continuous technical training across the customer service team.
