Position: Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, inspect, and review complete electrical design layouts, schematics, and technical drawings for building construction projects.
- Supervise on-site electrical installation works to ensure full alignment with approved designs, client specifications, and engineering codes.
- Oversee and inspect HVAC system installations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, testing, and commissioning protocols.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with architects, civil/structural engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor on-site project execution, maintaining rigorous quality assurance, compliance, and occupational safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive technical evaluation reports, site inspection logs, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Ensure assigned engineering tasks and project milestones are completed within targeted timelines.
Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive, relevant professional engineering experience.
- Proven track record in building electrical design, technical drawing review, and MEP systems supervision.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in building construction projects and site monitoring.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Solid understanding of national engineering codes, electrical safety standards, and Ethiopian building regulations.
Desirable Competencies, Skills & Qualities
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic; working knowledge of Afan Oromo is an added advantage.
- Professional Competencies: High analytical capability, time management, adaptability, decision-making, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Compliance Knowledge: Practical application and deep familiarity with Ethiopian construction laws, standards, and safety codes.
- Attributes: Strong professional accountability, team leadership, flexibility, and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
