Role Summary
The Sales Supervisor / Team Lead is responsible for leading the sales field team to consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly driver acquisition and onboarding targets. The role involves supervising Sales Leads, monitoring performance metrics, maintaining team continuity through prompt recruitment and replacement, resolving operational bottlenecks, and providing consolidated performance reports to the Supply Operations Head.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and supervise all 5 Sales Leads to ensure individual and team compliance with daily/weekly performance targets.
- Conduct daily performance reviews and team briefings to align operational priorities, share feedback, and resolve challenges.
- Maintain discipline, daily attendance, and high productivity standards across the sales team.
- Driver Acquisition & Target Ownership:
- Take full ownership of the sales team’s daily, weekly, and monthly driver acquisition and registration targets.
- Monitor individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing active field coaching and support to boost conversion rates.
- Recruitment & Capacity Building:
- Recruit, train, and onboard replacement Sales Agents promptly whenever vacancies occur, ensuring full operational team capacity.
- Operational Coordination & Reporting:
- Consolidate daily activity reports from all Sales Leads into a unified performance dashboard.
- Ensure precise data tracking for driver registrations, activations, follow-ups, and conversion ratios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional operational teams to resolve driver registration, verification, and technical onboarding issues.
- Escalate field challenges, operational risks, and resource needs to the Supply Operations Head in a timely manner.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly driver registration and activation targets.
- Conversion rate of registered drivers to active status on the platform.
- Productivity, attendance, and retention rate of Sales Leads and Sales Agents.
- Turnaround time taken to recruit and replace vacant Sales Agent positions.
- Accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated daily performance reports.
- Speed of resolution for escalated operational and field issues.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Logistics, or a related field.(Equivalent practical work experience in lieu of degree may also be considered).
- Work Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in sales, field operations, supply operations, or team supervision.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct experience leading, managing, or supervising a team.
- Prior experience in driver acquisition, field sales, ride-hailing, or logistics operations is a strong advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership, team building, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Proficiency in recruitment, training, and field agent onboarding.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and ability to perform under high-pressure targets.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel within assigned operational zones across Addis Ababa.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours when required by operational demands.
- Familiarity with Addis Ababa road networks and local driver dynamics.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Amharic is required; English proficiency is preferred; knowledge of Afaan Oromo is an added advantage.
