Junior Auditor

• Job Summary: Assist in conducting internal audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance controls across OMEDAD PLC’s various business units (Hotel, Factory, Trading, and Distribution).
• Required Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or practical attachment experience is an advantage).
• Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal control concepts; proficiency in MS Excel and Word (familiarity with accounting software is a plus).
  • Languages & Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and high professional ethics/integrity.
  • Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to branch locations as needed.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across departments and branches.
  • Review financial documents, transaction records, and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and cash as required.
  • Identify control weaknesses or irregularities, document findings, and prepare working papers under supervision.
  • Follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations and support special investigations.
