Junior Auditor
- Job Summary: Assist in conducting internal audits of financial records, operational processes, and compliance controls across OMEDAD PLC’s various business units (Hotel, Factory, Trading, and Distribution).
- Required Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship or practical attachment experience is an advantage).
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Management, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal control concepts; proficiency in MS Excel and Word (familiarity with accounting software is a plus).
- Languages & Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English, strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and high professional ethics/integrity.
- Other Requirements: Willingness to travel to branch locations as needed.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across departments and branches.
- Review financial documents, transaction records, and supporting evidence for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and cash as required.
- Identify control weaknesses or irregularities, document findings, and prepare working papers under supervision.
- Follow up on the implementation of previous audit recommendations and support special investigations.
