Open Positions & Requirements
1. Videographer & Video Editor
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa (Hybrid work arrangement)
- Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time (3 positions available)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage video recording and post-production workflows.
- Capture high-quality footage and transform it into polished, engaging video content.
- Operate cameras and handle basic lighting and audio equipment.
- Educational Requirements: Certificate, diploma, or degree in Film Production, Cinematography, Video Editing, Multimedia, Journalism, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in videography and video editing.
- Key Skills & Competencies: Practical proficiency in professional video-editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve), strong portfolio showcasing both camera work and editing skills, creativity, attention to detail, teamwork, and effective time-management.
2. Cartoon Artist / Illustrator
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design original cartoon characters, expressive facial features, poses, and visual concepts.
- Develop character concepts while maintaining consistency in appearance, proportions, and artistic style.
- Create story illustrations, scene concepts, backgrounds, and visual references tailored to specific target audiences and production themes.
- Educational Requirements: Training or a qualification in Fine Arts, Illustration, Cartooning, Animation, Graphic Arts, or a related discipline.
- Key Skills & Competencies: Strong drawing, sketching, coloring, and visual storytelling skills; proficiency in digital illustration tools (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint); and strong attention to detail. Experience illustrating children’s stories or designing cartoon characters is considered an advantage.
