💼 Position: Associate Equity Trader

Role Overview

The Associate Equity Trader will assist clients in the buying and selling of securities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and supporting the Senior Equity Trader in trade execution and client service.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

1. Trading Execution & Market Operations

Execute and assist in securities trading.
Monitor financial markets, trends, and economic developments.
Handle and escalate client trading disputes.
Maintain transaction records and support trading operations.
Build relationships with clients and support business development efforts.

2. Risk Management & Compliance

Comply with Ethiopian financial regulations, including:
- Capital Market Proclamation No. 1248-2021
- Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA)
- Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX)
Implement risk controls and maintain ethical trading practices.

3. New Client Onboarding & Customer Service

Facilitate client onboarding in compliance with KYC, AML, and CFT guidelines.
Address and escalate customer concerns appropriately.

4. Team Support

Assist in team coordination and mentor junior staff where required.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
CISI Level 3 (Introduction to Investment) qualification.
Solid understanding of:
- Ethiopian financial markets
- Investment products and trading principles
Strong analytical and communication skills.
High attention to detail and professional ethics.
Excellent customer service orientation.
Ability to pass relevant licensing exams.
