Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief and editorial manager to identify and package compelling stories for online and print.
β
Oversee content development, trafficking, and quality control.
β
Coordinate with design and digital teams to align content with visuals and digital platforms.
β
Edit and proofread articles, manage editorial calendars, and meet publishing deadlines.
β
Monitor industry trends and audience preferences.
β
Represent the publication at events and conferences.
β
Supervise, support, and pitch story ideas to reporters weekly.
Requirements:
π Bachelorβs degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
π Extensive editorial experience, preferably in a leadership role.
π£ Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
π Strong organizational and project management abilities.
π Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and social media.
π Exceptional background in writing and research, especially on monetary and fiscal policies.
π£ Fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and train reporters, ensuring timely and quality news production.
β
React to breaking news, identify trends, and lead feature writing.
β
Source and assign reporters to events and news leads.
β
Guide reporters in gathering information for in-depth articles.

Edit drafts, pitch feature ideas, and occasionally write articles.
β
Provide feedback to improve reportersβ journalistic skills.
β
Communicate efficiently with senior editors, manage weekly story budgets, and keep editors informed of story progress.
Required Qualifications:
π Bachelorβs degree in Journalism, Communications, or related social sciences.
π
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
π£ Proficiency in written and spoken English; Amharic is an added advantage.
β° Strong time management, communication, and leadership skills.
β‘ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
