External Vacancy Announcement: Ethiopost

Ethiopost, the national postal service of Ethiopia, is looking for qualified and motivated individuals to join its team. We are currently recruiting for the following positions across various departments.


1. Junior Office of Exchange Officer

Role Summary: Responsible for air and land inventory planning, preparing exchange lists for international mail, and ensuring compliance with international postal regulations regarding weight and handling.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Execute air and land inventory plans and prepare inventory sheets.
    • Prepare exchange lists considering speed, reliability, and cost.
    • Monitor the handling of mail canvases and investigate international inquiries.
    • Consolidate data on the weight and volume of overland mail for the International Accounts Department.
  • Requirements:
    • Education: BA/BSc Degree or Diploma in a related field.
    • Experience: 0 years (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply).
    • Skill: Proficiency in computer applications.

2. AMU Supervisor

Role Summary: Coordinates the service fulfillment process, supervises staff within the AMU department, and facilitates communication with stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate the lifecycle of service fulfillment and dispatch items promptly.
    • Supervise and evaluate the performance of department employees.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of service delivery and follow up on payments with the Finance Department.
    • Provide administrative support to the AMU services team to improve efficiency.
  • Requirements:
    • Education: BA/BSc Degree in a business-related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Skill: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

3. Motorist (Delivery Fleet)

Role Summary: Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of items using a motorbike, ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained, and adhering to all traffic and security regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on the motorbike.
    • Manage loading and unloading of materials according to carrying capacity.
    • Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption and log sheets.
    • Report any technical failures, accidents, or theft to the office immediately.
  • Requirements:
    • Option A: College Diploma + TVET Level IV with 0 years experience.
    • Option B: TVET Level III with 2 years experience.
    • Option C: TVET Level II with 4 years experience.
    • Option D: Secondary Education + 4 years of motorist experience.
    • Option E: TVET Level II + 2 years of experience as a motorist.
