Position: Junior Accountant (Female Only)
Job Purpose: To support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and Ethiopian tax regulations.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–2 years (Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
- Location: Addis Ababa (Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City).
- Mandatory Requirement: This position is open to female applicants only who reside in or near Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recording: Record daily transactions and maintain organized documentation.
- Documentation: Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
- Tax Compliance: Support monthly tax filings including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll Tax.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations.
- Audit Support: Provide required documentation for internal and external audits.
- Administrative Support: Perform other finance-related administrative duties as assigned.
Required Competencies
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and Ethiopian tax laws.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel).
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and high integrity/confidentiality.
- Work Ethic: Willingness to learn and the ability to work effectively within a team.
