Open Administrative Positions

1. Accountant

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Primary Purpose: Support the school’s financial operations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, budgeting support, and effective financial record management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation.
  • Process payments, invoices, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with Ethiopian financial regulations and school financial policies.
  • Support internal/external audits and provide required financial information.
  • Collaborate across departments regarding financial matters and procurement processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Technical Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Desirable Assets: Previous experience working within an international school or educational setting, and familiarity with Ethiopian tax and labor regulations.

2. Trips, Events and Educational Visits Coordinator

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Primary Purpose: Responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and quality assurance of all educational visits, school trips, enrichment activities, and major school events.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Trips & Visits: Coordinate all excursions and residentials; maintain a whole-school calendar; manage transport, staffing ratios, venue logistics, and parental consent.
  • Risk & Safeguarding: Ensure all activities are supported by appropriate risk assessments; confirm medical, dietary, and inclusion considerations.
  • Event Execution: Coordinate parent forums, open days, graduations, performances, sports events, and cultural celebrations.
  • Communication: Prepare and distribute trip/event communications via Mograsys, email, Telegram, and letters.
  • Administration: Track approvals, payments, and invoices; liaise with finance on trip budgets; maintain supplier databases.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Tourism, Event Management, Business Administration, or a relevant professional qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience coordinating events, operations, educational visits, or general school administration.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; calm and solution-focused under pressure; commitment to student wellbeing.
  • Desirable Assets: Training in Health & Safety, Risk Management, or Safeguarding; event management certification.

3. IT Support (2 Openings)

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
  • Primary Purpose: Reporting to the IT Head, these professionals deliver essential technical assistance to internal staff, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure the efficiency of school-wide IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new equipment and user accounts.
  • Log and track incoming support requests using the school’s ticketing system.
  • Maintain clear documentation of common technical issues and their solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
  • Technical Competencies: Proficiency operating with Windows/Linux OS, Chromebooks, Microsoft 365, and fundamental networking concepts.
  • Desirable Assets: Prior experience in an international school environment, relevant IT industry certifications, and familiarity with school Management Information Systems (MIS).
