The division is seeking highly accomplished technical leads to fill two (2) critical high-level engineering positions in Addis Ababa.

Detailed Job Profiles & Technical Criteria

1. Senior Electrical Engineer

• Education: BSc Degree or higher (MSc/PhD) in Electrical Engineering with an explicit specialization in structural electrical design.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design systems.
• Leadership Mandate: Must possess proven experience leading, mentoring, and managing an integrated electrical engineering design team.
• Core Technical Competencies:
  • Must be fully capable of independently completing comprehensive, high-tier electrical designs and highly detailed construction schematics for large-scale public buildings (e.g., commercial complexes, transits, multi-use arenas).
  • Advanced capability in power distribution architectures, emergency backup load calculation, low-voltage (LV) layouts, lighting systems, and life-safety fire integration systems.
• Key Certification Advantage: Candidates possessing a Professional Power Electrical Engineer (PPEE) certificate will be given immediate administrative priority in the screening loop.
• Required Soft Skills: Exceptional technical communication, problem-solving under stress, and cross-functional team coordination.

2. Structural Engineer

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (BSc/MSc) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited Ethiopian or international university.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clear, hands-on post-graduation experience specializing specifically in the structural design of buildings.
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer resilient structural systems for complex civil and architectural developments.
  • Partner directly with lead architects and project engineers to embed exact structural parameters into holistic master plans.
  • Execute advanced analytical calculations to ensure structural configurations comply entirely with regional safety, seismic, and regulatory codes.
  • Draft, review, and stamp technical blueprints and specification metrics for errors or design flaws.
  • Perform systematic construction site visits and physical inspections to verify implementation, evaluate pour qualities, and resolve immediate site-level engineering challenges.
• Non-Negotiable Software Matrix:⚠️ Applications will be immediately rejected if proficiency in the following mandatory structural applications cannot be proven:
  • ETABS — Mandatory (High building modeling and spatial analysis)
