Vacant Position & Overview

Position: Junior Legal Officer

• Duty Station: Addis Ababa and Adama
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Salary: As per company scale / Competitive

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Drafting & Documentation:
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, contracts, and loan agreements.
  • Draft standard legal correspondence and formal notices.
• Litigation & Compliance:
  • Support ongoing litigation processes, court filings, and regular court case follow-ups.
  • Ensure institutional operations adhere to applicable national laws and corporate policies.
• Advisory & Communication:
  • Handle customer legal inquiries, complaints, and dispute resolutions in coordination with management.
  • Maintain accurate legal records, files, and case registries.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized university.
• Work Experience:
  • 1–2 years of relevant professional legal experience.
• Technical Competencies & Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of Ethiopian laws, legal codes, and judicial/court procedures.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email applications).
  • Good legal drafting, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
