Position Summary & Scope of Work
The IT Specialist & CCTV Operator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s end-to-end IT infrastructure while simultaneously overseeing the deployment, configuration, and real-time monitoring of our Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and IP surveillance camera networks.
Core duties are split across two key functions:
1. IT & Systems Administration
- Infrastructure Maintenance: Administer, update, and proactively troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and local network architecture.
- Hardware & Workplace Support: Install, configure, and maintain office hardware, including desktop workstations, laptops, mobile business devices, and networked multi-function printers.
- Data & Cloud Management: Manage enterprise cloud storage ecosystems (such as Dropbox and Google Drive), ensuring seamless file synchronization, strict user quota management, and secure backup strategies.
- Software Deployment: Deploy, optimize, and troubleshoot desktop productivity applications, communication suites, desktop messaging clients, and specialized business applications.
2. Camera & Surveillance Operations
- CCTV System Management: Systematically install, configure, map, and align IP/Analog cameras, Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), and Network Video Recorders (NVRs).
- Live Monitoring & Security: Maintain active, real-time surveillance of live camera feeds to immediately detect security breaches, potential safety hazards, or unauthorized zone access.
- System Optimization: Conduct routine preventative hardware maintenance on camera units (cleaning lenses, refocusing, securing mounts) and manage video data retention storage optimization.
- Footage Extraction: Securely extract, review, and archive video footage required for official incident investigations, ensuring strict compliance with local privacy laws and company policies.

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a directly relevant technical field of study.
- Experience: More than three (3) years of proven, verifiable experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or enterprise technical support.
- Technical Skills: * High proficiency in core network configuration (TCP/IP protocols, Routing, Switching, VLAN architecture, and corporate Wi-Fi infrastructure).
- Robust working knowledge of Windows Server environments and client OS architectures.
- Practical experience operating specialized Video Management Software (VMS) platforms and aligning camera hardware.
- Core Soft Skills: Sharp attention to detail to identify anomalies across multiple feeds, exceptional diagnostic problem-solving skills, high communication capacity for clear incident reporting, and absolute discretion regarding confidential company records.
