Position: Trade Manager

Job Purpose:

The Trade Manager is responsible for building, optimizing, and continuously expanding Holland Dairy’s commercial operating model. This strategic leadership role drives Route-to-Market (RTM) optimization, sales capability development, management of commercial information systems, and deep commercial analytics to secure profitable sales growth across all regions of Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Route-to-Market (RTM) Strategy & Optimization: Formulate and execute robust distribution strategies, territory mapping, and coverage plans to maximize market penetration.
  • Distributor Governance: Develop and manage distributor scorecards, performance metrics, and governance frameworks to ensure high operational alignment and compliance.
  • Sales Capability & Training: Design, lead, and measure capability-building initiatives and training programs to upskill the field sales team.
  • Systems Ownership: Serve as the main owner driving adoption and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, corporate ERP, and associated commercial CRM systems.
  • Commercial Analytics: Develop, monitor, and manage interactive commercial dashboards to extract actionable market insights and drive data-backed business decisions.
  • Database Management: Structure and maintain a clean, exhaustive, and updated outlet master database across all retail networks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related commercial field.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive, hands-on experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proven mastery over Route-to-Market frameworks, sales management pipelines, corporate CRM systems, ERP architectures, and modern data reporting tools.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities, strategic project management skills, sales leadership, and expert proficiency in trade execution and high-level negotiation.
