Samaritan’s Purse (SP) is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine worldwide. Operational across multiple high-need regions in Ethiopia, the organization is recruiting qualified, mission-driven professionals for ten (10) field positions across four critical departments.

Departmental Openings & Duty Stations

1. Health & Clinical Operations

  • Positions: Public Health Care (PHC) Support Officer
  • Total Openings: 6 across two target regions:
    • Kobo / Sekota Base: 2 open positions
    • Adwa / Hitsats Base: 4 open positions
  • Education Required: B.Sc. Degree in Public Health, Health Science, or a closely related clinical/epidemiological field.
  • Licensure: Must possess a valid, updated professional practice license from the relevant regulatory body.
  • Experience Baseline: Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience, with a heavy preference for individuals who have operated in low-resource settings, emergency camps, or remote rural health centers.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Amharic. Complete fluency in the specific regional language of the duty station is required.

2. Senior Field Leadership

  • Position: Area Coordinator (1 open position)
  • Duty Station: Shire
  • Education Required: Master’s Degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Business Administration, or a matching field.
  • Experience Baseline: 6 to 7 years of progressive field-level program experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a direct managerial or senior supervisory role. Prior background managing complex, multi-sector humanitarian bases in the assigned geographic zone is highly prioritized.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Amharic. Working knowledge of the regional language is mandatory.

3. Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Position: Logistics & Procurement Officer (1 open position)
  • Duty Station: Kobo
  • Education Required: BA Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Business Management, Marketing, or a parallel track.
  • Experience Baseline: 3 to 4 years of solid warehouse, sourcing, and logistics distribution experience, preferably within an active INGO environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Amharic. Regional language capability is required.

4. Safety & Risk Management

  • Positions: Field Security Officer (2 open positions)
  • Duty Stations: Kobo Base (1 position) | Asayita Base (1 position)
  • Education & Background: Relevant Bachelor’s Degree coupled with a formal background in public police forces or national military structures.
  • Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5 years of active security management history, with at least 2 years explicitly embedded within an INGO setup.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Proven expertise in context analysis, dynamic threat assessments, remote territory risk mapping, and standard incident reporting. Candidates must be deeply committed to upholding the Samaritan’s Purse code of conduct, core ethical values, and security protocols.
  • Language: Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Regional language fluency is required.
