Key Purpose & Accountabilities
- Execute day-to-day branch banking operational processes and interest-free financial service delivery.
- Promote and mobilize deposit accounts and Shari’ah-compliant financing products in the local catchment area.
- Engage directly with new and prospective customers, driving financial inclusion and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure strict adherence to National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) regulatory frameworks, internal operational policies, and strict Shari’ah compliance guidelines.
- Deliver prompt, efficient, and professional customer service to diverse individual and corporate clients.
Qualifications & Work Experience Requirements
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Economics, Management, Accounting, Finance, or other business-related fields from a recognized higher learning institution.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive commercial or interest-free branch banking experience.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience serving specifically as a Junior Officer or equivalent operational role within a bank branch setting.
Required Core Competencies & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound practical understanding of Interest-Free Banking (IFB) operational mechanics and Shari’ah-compliant financial instruments.
- High level of integrity, professional accountability, and alignment with ethical/halal business practices.
