Position: Mechanical Engineer
Purpose of the Job
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all production and facility equipment. The role’s primary goal is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all machinery in compliance with our safety protocols and preventive maintenance systems, thereby supporting the company’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment.
- Execute simple machinist duties and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Collaborate with electricians and other mechanics on equipment installation and refurbishment.
- Plan and execute periodic preventive maintenance schedules for all production machinery.
- Take immediate corrective action on equipment breakdowns.
- Coach and assist electricians and mechanics as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and activity logs.
- Report daily consumption and tracking data, and perform root cause analysis for breakdowns.
- Operate production machines when necessary and as instructed by a supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean work area, and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and all company SOPs.
- Participate in monthly team meetings to share ideas and insights.

Candidate Profile
Education
- A BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience in Electro-Mechanical or related activities.
