Founded on the vision of Haile Gebre Lube, a pioneer of Ethiopia’s cooperative movement, the Cooperative Bank of Oromia (Coopbank) was established to empower people through collective economic action. Officially licensed in 2004 and operational since 2005, the Bank is primarily owned by cooperative societies. Today, Coopbank is one of Ethiopia’s most profitable banks, with over ETB 139.56 billion in assets, 750+ branches, 13.2 million+ account holders, and 15,481+ employees.
The Ethics Officer will play a pivotal role in promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability across the bank. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating corruption risks through data analysis, investigations, and proactive engagement with stakeholders.
