The 5-star Sheraton Addis, part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, is seeking qualified, guest-oriented professionals for two permanent operational roles at its luxury property in Addis Ababa.
Position 1: Loss Prevention Officer (Security)
- Location: Addis Ababa
- Education/Training: Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12). Professional certification or formal training in self-defense techniques is highly desired.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in security-related operations.
Key Qualifications & Attributes:
- Language: Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory. Knowledge of other international languages is an advantage.
- Core Skills: Exceptional guest-contact and communication skills, strong analytical judgment, and a basic understanding of local security laws and practices.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit, healthy, alert, and able to pass the hotel’s mandatory physical fitness test.
- Flexibility: Complete willingness to work rotating schedules across all shifts (day, evening, and night).
Position 2: Driver
- Location: Addis Ababa
- Education/License: Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12). Must hold a valid 4th Grade or Public 2 level driving license. A training certificate from a recognized Drivers & Mechanics School or basic auto-mechanic knowledge is highly preferable.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of solid, professional driving experience.
Key Qualifications & Attributes:
- Language: Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak effectively in English.
- Technical Skills: Capable of performing minor vehicle repairs, routine servicing, and basic maintenance troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent guest-contact skills, a polite demeanor, and a strong knowledge of the hotel’s services and layout to assist arriving/departing visitors.
- Physical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical health, with high visual alertness.
