African Parks is a non-profit conservation organization that takes on complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks in partnership with governments and local communities. We currently manage 23 national parks and protected areas across 13 countries, covering over 20 million hectares. Following a historic 10-year management agreement signed with the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority and the Gambella Peoples’ National Regional State, African Parks is running an intake for an organized, target-driven professional to manage its operational infrastructure at Gambella National Park.
Position Summary & Scope of Work
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Storekeeper works in close alignment with the garage, transport, and housing teams to manage, audit, and optimize the organization’s entire inventory footprint. Core duties include:
- Stock Control & Verification: Checking all incoming goods, tools, and spare parts to ensure they are in optimal condition and reporting abnormalities immediately.
- Logistics & Storage Optimization: Securing storage spaces, coordinating layout structures, and ensuring appropriate storage, tracking, and systematic labeling of goods.
- Data & Inventory Maintenance: Regularly updating core stock sheets, receipt slips, issue slips, and managing the dedicated inflow inventory software to avoid critical stock shortages.
- Audit & Reporting: Performing detailed physical inventory counts, keeping the warehouse in clean condition, and submitting weekly and monthly stock analysis reports to the Logistics Manager.
- Compliance: Fully complying with African Parks’ operational procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and occupational Health, Safety, Fire, and Environmental policies.
Absolute Eligibility & Vetting Thresholds

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSM), Management, Accounting, or a directly equivalent business discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of proven, verifiable experience explicitly in warehouse operations, storekeeping, and structured inventory management frameworks.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy is mandatory, alongside hands-on, proven knowledge of modern inventory software or ERP database tracking tools.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional supply chain coordination, strong skills in organizing and planning under tight field schedules, and an innovative mindset.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
