Junior Health and Safety Engineer

📍 Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

🎯 Role Summary

Support the execution of HSE programs for luxury construction projects. You will work closely with management to enforce safety compliance, identify hazards, and maintain accurate safety documentation.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Site Inspections: Perform daily site walks to identify risks and ensure PPE compliance.
  • Risk Mitigation: Support hazard assessments and recommend preventive/corrective actions.
  • Investigations: Assist in drafting incident/near-miss reports and root cause analysis.
  • Training: Participate in tool-box talks and emergency response drills.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate HSE logs and internal safety files.

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering, OHS, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of progressive experience in site safety or construction engineering.
  • Language: Absolute fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Tech Skills: Proficient in MS Office; strong grasp of risk assessment logic.
  • Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
