About the Development Expertise Center (DEC)

The Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a prominent national Civil Society Organization (CSO) established in 2007 and re-registered in May 2019 under registration number 0009 in accordance with the Authority for CSO Proclamation by the Ethiopian government. DEC operates five major strategic programs: Child Well-being and Education Development, Gender and Life Skills Development, Employable Skills Development, Advocacy, and the Humanitarian Emergency Program. The organization actively delivers life-saving and development assistance across six National Regional States and one city administration, including Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa.

DEC is executing a targeted talent acquisition drive to support its expanding humanitarian operations. Qualified, experienced, and highly competent individuals are invited to review the open field positions outlined below.

Humanitarian Response Openings

Engineering & Field Coordination

Shelter Assistant Coordinator (1): Bachelor’s in Civil Eng/Arch + 3-5 years exp.
Shelter Officers (3): Bachelor’s in Civil Eng/Arch + 2 years exp.
Foreman (4): Diploma/Cert in Construction + 3 years exp (1 in supervision).

Finance, Data & Logistics

Cashier Accountant (1): Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance + 1-2 years exp.
Data Clerk (1): Degree/Cert in ICT/Admin + 1-2 years exp (Kobo/ODK skills).
Store Keeper (1): Logistics/Warehouse cert + 2 years exp.

Field Operations

Drivers (4): Valid professional license + rural/off-road driving experience.
