Procurement Officer
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and implement the sourcing and procurement of goods, services, and supplies required for programs and operations.
- Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with company needs and budgets, identifying reliable suppliers and maintaining preferred vendor lists.
- Prepare tender documents, manage tender processes across various procurement methods, negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms, and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels, prevent shortages or overstocking, and maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory frameworks, and donor requirements while maintaining high standards of integrity and transparency.
- Educational Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
- Strong understanding of contract management, vendor negotiation, and purchasing skills (including purchase order and payment follow-ups).
- Fluency in Amharic and English is required.
