Open Positions
1. Intern – Finance Assistant (Female)
- Vacancy Number: DCA-Eth/VA-017/2026
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa
- Employment Type / Duration: Intern (Six months with possibility of extension)
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
- Experience: 0 years of experience in a related position (Fresh Graduate).
- Technical Skills: Computer literate with excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills; strong interpersonal communication and arithmetic abilities; familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and ERP environments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, handle, and disburse financial documents based on DCA Ethiopia Country office policies.
- Prepare payment vouchers, bank transfer letters, and checks based on authorized payment requests.
- Journalize settlement of advances and input monthly financial data in MCS under the guidance of the Finance Assistant.
- Collect and attach supporting documents (e.g., Goods Received Notes, accomplishment reports) to respective vouchers.
- Systematically label box files and organize financial documents chronologically in safe custody.
- Handle the payment of monthly utility bills and support documentation returns requested for audits.
2. Community Facilitator / EORE Trainer
- Vacancy Number: DCA-Eth/VA-018/2026
- Place of Work: Afar Region, Berhale (Zone 2 target woredas)
- Employment Type / Duration: Contract (Up to December 31, 2026)
- Salary Range: As per the DCA salary scale
- Educational Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Social Science, Development Studies, Rural Development, or tertiary education in a related field.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of proven experience in Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) implementation. Must hold a certificate/accreditation of participation in an EORE or similar training.
- Languages Required: Fluency in English and Amharic, with mandatory fluency in the local Afaref language.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support the EORE Officer and Team Leader in planning EORE, Victim Assistance, and Non-Technical Survey (NTS) tasks.
- Provide basic risk education sessions to affected communities and deliver EORE Training of Trainers (ToT) to Community Focal Points (CFPs).
- Design and adapt local EORE IEC materials based on International Mine Action Standards (IMAS).
- Targeted identification of at-risk beneficiaries in Zone 2 woredas following the Ethiopian National Technical Standards and Guidelines.
- Implement Quality Management systems, conduct interviews/surveys, and manage sensitive, confidential info.
- Log beneficiary complaints into the official logbook and monitor safety/security SOPs in coordination with the DCA Access and Safety unit.
