Position: Junior Human Resource Officer
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

- Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Management, Human Resource Management, or any related business field of study from a recognized College or University.
- Languages Required: Proficiency in Amharic and English.
General Mission & Job Summary:
The Junior HR Officer will assist in initiating policies, plans, and procedures relating to recruitment, selection, employee placement, promotion, transfer, outsourcing, and contract administration. The role holder will support day-to-day operations to ensure the timely availability of manpower for operational needs and help implement Droga Pharma’s overarching Human Capital Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Selection: Support end-to-end recruitment pipelines including drafting job postings, screening profiles, setting up interviews, conducting reference checks, and maintaining a talent pipeline.
- Onboarding & Employee Relations: Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. Serve as an accessible point of contact for employee inquiries, helping to foster a positive work environment and address grievances in line with local labor regulations.
- Performance & Development: Assist managers in tracking performance review frameworks, goal setting, and identifying employee training and development milestones.
- Compensation, Benefits & Payroll: Administer employee leave records and benefits databases. Assist with monthly payroll preparations in coordination with the Finance department and conduct regular salary benchmarking.
- Documentation & Compliance: Manage up-to-date, highly confidential employee personnel files. Draft employment contracts, confirmation letters, and promotion notices while ensuring compliance with the Ethiopian Labor Proclamation, pension laws, and tax requirements.
- Reporting & Strategy: Support organizational planning by preparing monthly HR reports and workforce analytics. Act as a Droga Group Brand Ambassador and support change management initiatives.
