Open Positions & Requirements

1. QA Analyst

  • Work Location: Addis Ababa
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prevent defects through robust systems, protect customers, brands, and licenses, own specifications, release decisions, and assurance, and govern complaints, recalls, and calibration integrity.
    • Oversee incoming material assurance, process, system & IMS assurance, final product assurance (pre-store transfer), and supplier & vendor quality assurance.
    • Ensure storage & handling assurance, laboratory, calibration & testing assurance, and manage customer complaints & recalls.
    • Ensure only approved, compliant, and fit-for-use materials enter production, and fully compliant finished goods leave the factory.
    • Maintain accurate, defensible, and audit-ready testing data.
  • Educational Qualification: BSc Degree in Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field of study.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in the soap and detergent industry.
  • Required Skills & Competencies:
    • Knowledge of standards, testing methods, and quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
    • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a focus on quality assurance and compliance.
    • Excellent communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.

2. Operator Assistance III

  • Work Location: Addis Ababa
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Ensure the production machine and environment are clean, safe, and ready for work prior to launch, with all safety safeguards and PPE properly in place.
    • Confirm that raw materials are available, meet company standards, and align with the correct recipe.
    • Monitor upstream and downstream machines to ensure they run optimally and safely, and promptly report unusual sounds or process issues to the Production Team Leader.
    • Operate machines properly as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), using correct emergency stopping mechanisms.
    • Ensure preventive maintenance and CLIT (Clean, Lubricate, Inspect, Tighten) are carried out properly.
    • Maintain activity logs (produced volume, downtime, wastage) and provide necessary training for junior staff.
  • Educational Qualification: Level-IV or Level-III TVET certification in Machining, Industrial Electrical, Machine Drive Servicing, or a related field of study.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in an FMCG industry in an operator position.
  • Required Skills & Competencies:
    • Machine operating expertise and FMCG manufacturing process knowledge.
    • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and adaptability.
