Open Positions & Requirements
1. Manager – Interest Free Banking (IFB)
- Work Place: Adama District Office
- Educational Requirements: MA or BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in banking operations, of which 4 years must be in a senior Interest-Free Banking (IFB) position.
2. Branch Manager – Grade 1
- Work Place: Haji Aliyu Branch, Bale Robe Branches under Hawassa District
- Educational Requirements: BA Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or other business-related fields.
- Work Experience: 6 years of work experience in banking operations, out of which 2 years must be in a supervisory position.
3. Customer Service Officer – II (CSO – II)
- Work Place: For all branches of Abay Bank across Ethiopia
- Educational Requirements: BA Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration & Development Management.
- Graduation Year Eligibility: Strictly for graduates in 2024, 2025, and 2026 G.C.
- Mandatory Criteria: Must have successfully passed the national higher education exit examination.
- CGPA & Age Requirements:
- CGPA: 2.75 and above for females; 3.0 and above for males.
- Age: Below 30 years.
- Work Experience: 0 years (Fresh graduates / No work experience required).
4. Guard / Escort (የጥበቃ ሠራተኛ / አጃቢ)
- Work Place: Addis Ababa Head Office (with frequent field work) and Bahir Dar District (Bahir Dar)
- Educational & Professional Requirements:
- Completed former 12th grade or new 10th grade.
- At least 6 years of service in the police or defense forces with official legal discharge documentation.
- Received formal police or military training, with adequate knowledge of firearm use and handling.
- Good ethical conduct, complete physical fitness, good health, and no criminal record.
- Must not have been dismissed from the police or defense forces due to disciplinary issues and must be free from any addiction.
- Age Requirement: Not older than 40 years.
How to Apply
- For Positions 1 & 2 (Manager IFB & Branch Manager): Interested applicants fulfilling the criteria can apply in person at the Abay Bank Head Office Human Capital Administration Department (8th Floor, Zequala Complex, around Bambis in front of the NOC Gas Station). Alternatively, applicants for Manager – IFB can apply at the Adama District Office, and Branch Manager applicants can apply at the Hawassa District Office.

- For Position 4 (Guard / Escort): Eligible applicants should bring their 8th-grade transcript onward, original and photocopies of educational and work experience credentials, and a National ID within five consecutive working days from the announcement date to either the Head Office Human Capital Administration Department (Zequala Complex, 8th Floor, around Bambis in front of the NOC Gas Station) or the Bahir Dar District Office (Bahir Dar, Kebele 14, in front of United, 2nd floor of Bahir Dar Cinema).
