Walia Steel Industry (WSI), established in 2006 in Alemgena, is a leading private industrial company in the Oromia Regional State. We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented IT professionals who are interested in transitioning their technical skills into an industrial setting as Machine Operators.
Position: IT Graduate – Machine Operator
This role is ideal for technical graduates who enjoy working with automated machinery and production systems. You will bridge the gap between IT knowledge and industrial operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–1 year (Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
- Location: Alemgena (approx. 20km from Addis Ababa).
- Term: Full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated machines to ensure smooth production.
- Set up machines and adjust technical settings as required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report complex technical issues.
- Maintain accurate digital production records and reports.
- Assist in routine technical maintenance of machinery.
Core Requirements & Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of computer systems and industrial machine operations.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Knowledge of automation systems or industrial software is an advantage.
- Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced industrial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
