
BGS Poultry Farm, an established leader in the national poultry sector with over ten years of industry experience and a workforce of more than 1,000 employees, is seeking a qualified professional to join its commercial branch, which integrates its first BGS Supermarket and Restaurant operations.
Position: Finance and Administrative Officer
- Location: Flamingo, Addis Ababa

- Reports To: Human Resource and Administrative Manager
Job Purpose
The Finance and Administrative Officer handles daily cross-functional duties spanning retail accounting, point-of-sale financial tracking, and localized human resource administration to ensure seamless, compliant workspace operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance & System Duties
- Cash & Sales Control: Manage the site’s petty cash fund, execute daily sales deposit confirmations, and perform immediate justifications for any register shortage or overage discrepancies.
- Systems Management: Process payment requests using CNET Software, oversee POS database management, and manage localized bill settlements.
- Audit & Compliance: Compile routine financial document flows in strict accordance with national tax regulations.
2. Human Resources & Admin Duties
- Staff Operations: Support localized recruitment and onboarding steps, track daily employee attendance logs, and manage overtime validations.
- Payroll Processing: Compile relevant workforce documentation and time sheets to assist in accurate monthly payroll preparation.
- Conflict Resolution: Serve as a point-of-contact for employee grievance monitoring and basic dispute settlements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business field.
- Experience: 0 to 1 year of foundational experience in finance and HR administration (Fresh graduates with strong software skills are eligible to apply).
- Technical Software Skills: Proficiency in CNET software, computerized payroll systems, and Point of Sale (POS) management interfaces.
- Core Competencies: Clear, practical knowledge of local labor laws and financial tax compliance. Strong multi-tasking abilities, sharp problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail under busy retail/restaurant pressure.
