Open Positions

1. Customer Service Officer – Maker/Checker

  • Place of Work / Duty Station: Branches under Nekemte District (Nekemte, Nekemte Area, Gambella, and Benishangul Region).

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (e.g., Marketing Management, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration), Information Technology, or equivalent fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant commercial banking experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Maker Role: Handle front-office customer service support, process account maintenance, manage payment and collection transactions, handle cash/non-cash activities, and respond to basic customer inquiries.
    • Checker Role: Check and authorize front-office transactions, account modifications, and financial actions at the branch in strict compliance with internal policy and procedure manual limits.

2. Continuous Improvement Specialist

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, Management, or related discipline. A Master’s Degree (MBA/M.Sc.) is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of relevant progressive experience.
  • Key Skills & Competencies: Deep knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen), root cause analysis, data interpretation, and organizational problem-solving.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Identify, orchestrate, and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing bank processes, operational efficiency, and overall performance metrics.
    • Monitor continuous improvement project outcomes, tracking KPIs to assess their qualitative impact on productivity and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate across various work units and corporate stakeholders to systematically drive innovation.

3. Branch Business Relationship Manager – RMSME

  • Educational Qualification: BA Degree in Accounting, Marketing Management, Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related business field.

  • Key Skills & Competencies: Extensive banking background with in-depth understanding of Retail & MSME market segments, commercial credit pipelines, risk management, compliance, and negotiation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan, lead, and control business development activities within the branch team in the assigned region.
    • Attract, deepen, and manage financial relationships to meet deposit and loan portfolio growth targets.
    • Promote, cross-sell, and position the bank’s products to maximize customer acquisition and value-added retention.

4. Database Administrator

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of relevant database administration experience.
  • Key Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in SQL and query optimization (indexing, execution plans), robust understanding of database management systems (relational, NoSQL), and middleware technologies (WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ).
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage and maintain the performance, availability, integrity, and absolute security of the Bank’s core databases.
    • Ensure comprehensive compliance with internal data protection policies and corporate security frameworks.
    • Provide advanced technical support for the bank’s primary business and core banking software applications.
