Position Summary & Scope of Work
As a Fire & Rescue Officer I, you will serve as a vital first responder at our regional airfield networks. Core duties include:
- Executing rapid aircraft rescue, structural firefighting tactics, and hazard mitigation protocols during airfield emergencies.
- Operating, driving, and systematically maintaining specialized heavy-duty airfield fire combat vehicles, liquid transport equipment, and emergency rescue apparatus.
- Monitoring, testing, and securing emergency tools, safety garments, and automated communication gear to guarantee 100% operational readiness.
- Conducting standard preventative perimeter safety patrols and executing airport hazard management inspections.
Absolute Eligibility & Vetting Thresholds
Ethiopian Airlines Group enforces a precise vetting framework. Profiles missing any of the following parameters will be screened out immediately:
- Education: Minimum of a College Diploma (10+3) or TVET Level III Certificate from a recognized college or university in any field of study.
- Licensing Requirements: Valid 4th Grade or Liquid I & Above Driving License is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of active driving experience.
- Language Proficiency: Absolute fluency in written and spoken English (the official working language of Ethiopian Airlines) is mandatory. Knowledge of additional foreign languages is a strong advantage.
- Age Limit: Strictly between 18 and 35 years of age inclusive at the time of application.
